FOCUSED ON ENDING VIOLENCE

We are dedicated to providing safe haven, crisis intervention, and comprehensive support services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex trafficking in Gregg, Harrison, Upshur, Marion, Rusk and Panola Counties.

For over 40 years, the Women’s Center of East Texas has served survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex trafficking, as well as their families. We have responded to tens of thousands of calls for help, and there is so much more to be done. 

The Women's Center of East Texas strives to eradicate and prevent domestic and sexual violence by advocating for personal and societal change. Our team promotes empowerment through education and support for survivors and their families.

We provide the following services to clients free of charge: safe, clean, comfortable shelter for women, men and children; transitional housing; 24-hour crisis hotline; individualized safety planning; hospital accompaniment; legal advocacy and court accompaniment; individual counseling and peer support groups; transportation for client services; children's advocacy; community information and referrals; and assistance with the Crime Victims' Compensation (CVC) program.
